Join Our Team

Most insulation jobs look the same from the outside: you show up, you install, you leave. That’s not how we run things at Walt’s Insulation. Since 2000, we’ve been building crews that take the work seriously because the work actually matters. A poorly insulated attic costs a homeowner real money every month. A crawl space that never got properly encapsulated turns into a mold problem nobody wants. When our techs do the job right, families are more comfortable, their energy bills drop, and the house holds up better over time. That’s not marketing copy. That’s what we hear from customers after the job is done. We’re looking for people who want to be part of that – and who stay long enough to get really good at it.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Insulation Installer / Technician: Someone who is comfortable working in attics, crawl spaces, and tight areas, reads a job scope carefully, and leaves a workspace cleaner than they found it.
  • Apprentice Installer: A person who’s good with their hands and motivated to learn a real trade from experienced lead techs who actually show you how things are done.
  • Spray Foam Specialist: A detail-oriented technician who understands that spray foam application is not forgiving and takes the prep work as seriously as the spray itself.
  • Crawl Space and Encapsulation Technician: Someone who doesn’t mind the demanding physical nature of crawl space work and takes pride in turning a problem space into something a homeowner doesn’t have to worry about anymore.
  • Dispatcher / Job Coordinator: An organized, calm communicator who can manage schedules, keep crews informed, and handle the unexpected without losing their head.
  • Customer Service Representative: A person who listens before they talk, gives straight answers, and understands that the homeowner calling us is often dealing with a real problem – not just shopping around.

What We Offer

Real Training and a Path Forward

We don’t hand you a manual and send you out alone. New hires work alongside experienced lead technicians on real jobs until they’re genuinely ready to take on more responsibility. Over time, that becomes a clear path from apprentice to lead tech to crew lead – for the people who want to grow into it. The skills you build here are yours to keep.

Work You Can Actually Be Proud Of

Walt’s Insulation runs every job under the Done Right Promise: if it’s not done right, we make it right. That’s not a line we print on a brochure and forget. It shapes how every job is scoped, installed, and closed out. When you work for a company that stands behind its work unconditionally, you’re not cutting corners to hit a number – you’re doing the job the right way because that’s the standard.

Local Crew, National Backing

You’ll work with a crew that knows the area, the local building conditions, and the customers in your community. At the same time, Walt’s Insulation operates across 11 states and installs products from Owens Corning, Rockwool, Johns Manville, CertainTeed, Icynene, Demilec, Knauf, and GreenFiber – so you’re working with materials that the industry actually respects. That combination is harder to find than it sounds.

Steady, Year-Round Demand

Insulation isn’t seasonal the way landscaping or exterior painting can be. Energy efficiency is a need in every climate, in every season, and demand for qualified installers has stayed strong for years. When you build your skills here, you’re building them in a trade that isn’t going anywhere.

No Experience? Read This.

If you’ve worked construction, done HVAC installs, handled roofing, or spent time in any trade where you were on your feet and solving physical problems, you already understand more about this work than you probably think. The ability to read a space, work carefully in a confined area, and take direction well – those things transfer. What we teach is the technical side: how different insulation systems work, how to prep and seal correctly, how to use the equipment, and how to meet Walt’s standard on every job. The first months are spent working alongside lead techs on real installations. You’ll be learning by doing, not sitting in a classroom. What we’re looking for in someone with no insulation background is simple: show up on time, pay attention, and take the work seriously. We’ll handle the rest.
