Mention the offer when you book. One offer per household per visit; offers can’t be combined with each other and don’t apply to work already quoted or completed. Local pricing and availability vary by location - your local Walt’s Insulation team confirms the final price in writing before any work begins.
Every job is priced the same way: a free written estimate
We price the job, not the hour. Before anyone touches anything, you get the full price for the specific work in writing - no hourly meter, no membership to join, no financing to sign, and no line items added afterwards. If the number isn’t right for you, the estimate is still free and you owe us nothing.
How We Price Insulation Work
Every job at Walt’s Insulation is priced job by job, off a free written estimate. There is no hourly rate, no plan to join, no subscription, nothing to sign up for. You tell us what’s going on, we come out and look at it, and we give you a single number in writing before anyone picks up a tool.
That number is the price. It doesn’t adjust at the end because we found a few extra rolls of material, and it doesn’t come with asterisks. If you’ve ever gotten an invoice that looked nothing like the quote, you already know why we work this way. Seeing the whole number before work starts is the point – not a courtesy, the actual model.
What a Visit Actually Costs You to Find Out
Nothing. The estimate visit is free, and it comes with no obligation to book.
When we come out, we walk the space – attic, crawl space, walls, wherever the work is – take our measurements, and talk through what we’re seeing with you. That conversation is part of the visit, not an upsell. By the time we leave, you have a written estimate in hand with the full scope and the full price on it. You can take a day to think about it, get a second opinion, or decide it’s not the right time. We don’t follow up with pressure calls.
When People Usually Call Us
Insulation work doesn’t follow a tidy calendar, but there are patterns we see year after year.
A lot of calls come right after something gets uncomfortable – energy bills that jumped, a room that won’t stay cool in the heat of summer or warm when winter sets in, or a contractor who opened up a wall and found nothing behind it. Those are the calls where something already went wrong, and people want it fixed before the next season hits.
The other calls come from people planning ahead. They know the attic hasn’t been touched in fifteen years. They’re getting ready to sell and an inspector flagged the insulation. They’re adding a room and want it done right the first time. That kind of work is easier to schedule and easier to budget for, because there’s no urgency pressing down on the timeline.
Either situation is a reasonable time to call. We don’t manufacture urgency, and we don’t run seasonal specials that disappear on a date. The estimate is free and the pricing is the same regardless of when you reach us.
What You Can Expect From Us Either Way
Whether you’re calling with a problem or planning ahead, a few things don’t change.
The person who picks up when you call is a live person – not a voicemail, not an answering service. That’s true at any hour. The technician who shows up will be background-checked and in uniform, so you know exactly who is walking into your home. The written estimate you receive before any work starts reflects the full price – no surprise line items on the invoice.
Every job we do is covered by the Done Right Promise: lifetime workmanship, no runaround. If something isn’t right, we make it right. We’ve been locally owned and owner-operated since 2000, with a published address and license number – Walt Brenner stands behind this work personally, and that’s not a marketing line.
Common Questions
Is the estimate really free?
Yes, completely free and with no obligation. We come out, assess the space, and hand you a written estimate at no charge. You’re not committed to anything by letting us take a look.
Do you offer financing or a monthly payment plan?
No, and that’s deliberate. We price every job off a free written estimate so you see the full cost up front – there’s no hourly rate running in the background, no plan to sign up for, and no interest rate to track. The written estimate is the price, and that’s the only pricing mechanism we use.
Can I combine two offers?
One offer per household per visit. If you’re unsure which applies best to your job, mention it when you call – the live person who answers can walk through it with you before we even schedule the estimate.
Does the price change once you’re here?
No. The written estimate is the price. If we get into the work and find something we couldn’t see from the initial assessment, we stop and re-quote before touching anything new. You approve the updated scope before we proceed – no surprises on the invoice.
