Rockwool is tough stuff. Stone wool doesn’t rot, doesn’t burn, and doesn’t hold water the way cellulose or fiberglass can. But “tough” doesn’t mean “set it and forget it.” Here’s what we see in San Antonio attics when Rockwool products underperform, and what we do about it.
